Annadan Seva: Care Through Nourishment
The rehabilitation centre works to provide more than a place to stay. Shelter, medical guidance and regular care come together to create a supportive environment for individuals facing mental health challenges. The broader purpose is to help residents move away from neglect and isolation towards recovery, stability and family reintegration wherever possible. Residents receive ongoing support within a structured setting that encourages consistency in their daily lives. Regular care also helps them move through the rehabilitation process with greater dignity and security.
Individuals experiencing serious mental health challenges may become separated from their families or live without safe shelter and consistent care. Without timely support their condition can worsen and daily life can become increasingly difficult. Social stigma may also make recovery and acceptance more challenging.
Residents receive shelter, regular health check-ups and treatment under medical guidance during their stay at the rehabilitation centre. A structured environment supports their daily care while giving them time and support to move towards greater stability.
Rehabilitation focuses on helping residents improve their condition and regain stability through consistent care. Where recovery and circumstances allow individuals are reunited with their families and supported in returning to everyday life with dignity. The Foundation’s source material documents such successful family reunifications.
Dignity is not lost in illness. It returns when care becomes hope and hope leads someone home.
